We have moved gentoo-haskell overlay to github!
It will require some additional actions for overlay users:
layman -f
layman -d haskell
layman -a haskell
Our move was stimulated by a couple of events:
-
code.haskell.org was not very reliable, and
-
as you might notice haskell overlay was (and still is) inaccessible since last week. Current status of code.haskell.org can be tracked here.

This should probably be “layman -f” instead of “layman -S”. The latter one ‘syncs all overlays’ (including the old disfunctional haskell overlay). The -f-variant updates the list of overlays and hence gets the new location (-f is part of -S, though).

Oh, yeah, you are correct. Updated that bit.
Thank you!

Why github and not git.overlays.gentoo.org?

Mostly for easier add/remove haskell subprojects and committers to any of
the subprojects.
AFAIU o.g.o account adjustment should be carried only by leader and
needs interaction with overlay admins (so it mostly intended to be used
by gentoo devs and almost-devs).
It looks like o.g.o is too much overhead for our small team.
Github is a little simpler for one-time (rare) contributors in that respect.

nice! code.haskell.org really started to piss me off … hope they’ll improve that platform someday.
