We do support Haskell stuff in Gentoo… but mainly in the overlay :s

Latest gtk2hs is available in the overlay; wxhaskell isn’t at the moment, though. In general, however, we typically only update packages that we know are “big” or else use ourselves, rather than automatically generating an ebuild for every new package. There was work done on getting wxhaskell to work, but IIRC there were some problems with it not liking our package setup.

A lot of stuff in portage are old, like wxhaskell (portage version is 0.9, upstream is at 0.11 and 0.10 has been out for over a year, bug #242056) that does not even compile with latest ghc, forcing you to downgrade ghc to 6.4 while 6.8.2 is latest stable in portage, with 6.10 waiting for being unmasked….
And gtk2hs (portage version 0.9, upstream version being out for half an year 0.10, bug #270209) I have still get compiling, I do not know if portage (~arch) has a too new version of gtk+ or if it is something else like that I am running pieworld (which by the way make ghc completly out of the picture on x86_64 as it does not compile anyway)…

And a lot of open OLD bugs…

So still:
Gentoo Linux are really supporting haskell?
